Is a referral needed for our services?

Physiotherapy patients do not need a physician’s referral to attend SOS Physiotherapy, but we do maintain a close relationship with each patient’s physician throughout their treatment. Some insurance companies require written medical referrals, in which case patients may need to obtain a referral from their family physician before beginning treatment. Massage Therapy and Pedorthic services require a physician’s referral to be covered under most plans.

Are your services covered by my health plan?

While, as a private clinic, our physiotherapy, massage therapy and pedorthic services are not eligible for OHIP, these services are often covered by employee extended health care benefit plans, as well as University health plans. Check with your provider to find out if you are covered!
